Better late than never eh? I can’t believe how quick this year is going. Here’s some things I’ve been loving in April..
Nars Natural Longwear Foundation in the shade Sahel
Lovvvvvvve this! I’m already a huge fan of Nars foundations anyway so I just had to try this when it came out. It did not disappoint. It lasts for hours, dries down to a semi-matte finish – yet still makes you look healthy and glowy. Works perfect with the Nars pressed powder I use to set. I bought mine from Asos!
Vaseline Cocoa Lotion
Well this is just delightful. An oldie but a goodie. Smells amaaaazing and totally makes you feel like you’re on holiday when you’re applying this. I’ve been going for some sunbeds recently (just to prepare my skin for the sun in Marbella) so I definitely need to keep up with moisturising to make my tan last. My skin feels super soft afterwards and only takes a minute or two to dry down. Loving this.
Mallow and Marsh bars
Holy moly. These are delicious. I first saw them in Starbucks at the Cineworld in Glasgow, picked one up as I didn’t really want to get popcorn and fancied something sweet to go with my coffee. Wow. They’ve became my new fav treat. Filled with marshmallow and covered in chocolate. Deeeelish. Low calorie annnnnd Sainsburys sell them now too! #winning
Dahkin, Glasgow (Glasgow’s first Gluten Free Indian restaurant)
I recently went here for a works night out, and I neeeeed to go back. A 100% Gluten Free menu?! – sign me up! I had the Chemeen Varuthathu to start which was king prawns with peppers in a tomato and garlic sauce – amazing. And for main I had the Meen Rost which was flame cooked salmon (the best salmon I’ve ever had in my life – and there was soooo much of it!) flavoured with ginger, garlic and spiced yoghurt and it came with a separate medium spiced sauce to drizzle over. Oh my god it was the nicest Indian I’ve ever had. I’m hoping to go back for my birthday!
Lidl’s own Gluten Free ‘just free’ range – digestive biscuits
Oh man. A few of these dipped in a cup of tea.. just try them and thank me later.
TV shows I’ve been loving…
The Sopranos – my fiancé has been trying to get me to watch this for about 7 years and I’ve finally caved. Why did I keep putting it off? I’m loving it! Currently on Season3, and he tells me this is when it starts to get really good.
Desperate Housewives – AMEN SKY Q! Finally putting all seasons on! I’m living my best life right now binge watching this. One of theeee best shows of all time. And so easy to just fly through.
That’s about it for April. Not too many new things but there’s a lot I’ve been loving in May so be sure to check back in for that.
